E-ES: Error “Invalid or missing parameter in request” When Doing a Search Several Menu Levels Down.

Customers are experiencing issues with Elasticsearch returning no results or incorrect results prior to PeopleTools 8.57.10.
Sometimes Search Results won't display.
The Elastic Search most of the time works fine, but sometimes the results are not returned and customer can see the count down the left panel, but the detailed list with links refuses to display.
At other times, if the client is several layers down in a menu path and tries a search from there. Customer get a "Invalid or missing parameter in request" message. If they return to the home page and try the same search its usually successful.
There are no error messages in the IB Gateway or the App server logs and nothing in the Elastic search logs either.
Issue happens intermittently and difficult to recreate issue if customer trying to recreate.
Issue occurring in Global Search and the Global Search bar does appear.
