EPC: The PC_FND_DIST Funds Distribution Process Intermittently Created Duplicate Target Rows When Called From PC_PRICING. (Doc ID 2654159.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 04, 2020

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise FIN Project Costing - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Funds Distribution was configured to create target rows from 'PLX' rows created by PC_PRICING from source TLX rows. The PC_FND_DIST process was run with the Burden and Pricing checkboxes selected. Intermittently, when running PC_FND_DIST, new duplicate 'PLX' rows were created.

Specific replication steps were not identified nor was this reproducible on demand. However, analysis of the code being executed by PC_FND_DIST identified a SQL statement that did not qualify an update by PROCESS_INSTANCE and therefore it was possible that concurrent instances of the application engine were updating the wrong data.
