Last updated on APRIL 01, 2020

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise SCM Inventory - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Miscellaneous return inventory adjustment has incorrect UOM conversion.

Steps to Reproduce Issue:

Navigation: Main Menu > Inventory > Manage Inventory > Adjustments
1.  Enter inventory business unit
2.  Enter item and storage location.  Storage location should not already have the item.
3.  Choose the Adjustment Type as “Misc Return” and enter the quantity 6  along with  UOM Case (1 case = 12 EA).  UOM conversion happened (1 CA is 12 EA) and the quantity is 72 EA.
4   Change the UOM from EA to CA under the Item Information group box.   See quantity after UOM conversion has changed from 72 EA to 72 CA.
5.  Click Save
6.  Adjustment History page shows that a total adjustment of 864 EA has happened.
An adjustment of 6 CA was entered, but since the item UOM was changed from EA to CA the system converted 72 EA to CA and hence the total Quantity adjusted is 864 (72*12 = 864 EA).
