E-AD : Change The Field Format For The Field Phone To Display From 999/999-9999 To 999-999-9999 And It Displayed As 9999999999 (Doc ID 2655768.1)

User tried to change the Field Format for the field Phone to display from 999/999-9999 to 999-999-9999 and it displayed as 9999999999.

This is not an issue if $/: are used. Issue occurs for characters -().

Update the format to 999-999-9999. Test the format in Application Designer, shows error 'Failed matching Display Pattern'


The issue replication can be at will with the following steps,

1. Go to  Main Menu > Workforce Administration > Personal Information > Modify a Person > Contact Information

2. Open a Empl ID 

3. PIA page results does not shows the changes, instead it shows 9999999999
