E-FTP: File Attachments with Unicode Characters are Displaying "Junk" Characters After Being Uploaded (Doc ID 2662202.1)

Symptoms

When loading a file into PeopleSoft, the Database is not showing the expected Unicode characters. "Junk" characters are seen instead of the Unicode characters in the original file.

An example can be seen on the FSCM 9.2 Import Bank Statement page.

Steps to replicate:

1. Navigate to Banking > Bank Statements > Import Bank Statement
2. Add a new Run Control
a. Import Type: File
b. Enter File Path
c. Select File with Unicode Characters
d. Statement Type: Previous Day
e. LayoutBAI2

3. Run IMPORT_FILES
4. Go to process monitor and ensure it goes to success
5. Navigate to Banking-> Bank Statements-> Review Bank Statements
6. Review the Imported Bank Statement with Unicode Characters

Unicode characters are not converted as expected
