Applies to:

Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Font size does not increase in some browsers, namely Chrome and Edge. Font size does increase in Firefox and Safari.  As per WISWAG standards, the minimum font size should increase appropriately based on the selected setting, regardless of which browser is used up to 200%

Understanding SC 1.4.4" (https://www.w3.org/TR/UNDERSTANDING-WCAG20/visual-audio-contrast-scale.html):
"The author's responsibility is to create Web content that does not prevent the user agent from scaling the content effectively. Authors may satisfy this Success Criterion by verifying that content does not interfere with user agent support for resizing text, including text-based controls, or by providing direct support for resizing text or changing the layout."

Issue could be replicated with the following steps :

  1. Log into PeopleTools 8.56 or above and open the browser settings.
  2. In Firefox and Safari, change the default minimum font size to 24. In Chrome, change the font size to “Very large”. For Edge on Windows, change the System Settings>Ease of Access>Display> make the text bigger to 200%
  3. Verify that the font size increases in Firefox and Safari but does not in Chrome or Edge.
