1) Alter the SAFI so real courses in which the student is enrolled come over as ‘Scheduled’. When the classes start in real-time, they will go to an ‘Enrolled’ status. Only Scheduled and Enrolled statuses allow an award to go to Awarded.
2) Alter the award criteria “# of days before the Borrower-Based Academic Year (BBAY) start date” so it extends backwards to cover the time between the start of the academic year and the first day we want to allow students to accept their loans. Baseline configuration is 30 days. i.e. If the student’s Academic Year start date is August 31st and students should be allowed to accept their loans starting on August 1st, the number of days should be set to 30. Production would cover a few months of time.
3) Alter the award criteria “# of days from the first-course start date” so it extends backwards to cover the time between the student’s first day of class and the first day we want to allow students to accept their loans. This number of days will likely match what is set for the “# of days before BBAY start date” value. Baseline configuration is 30 days.
