Information in this document applies to any platform.

When a page has more tabs than the page can display, Keyboard or Accessibility users are unable to select a new tab after selecting the next arrow. Only after selecting the previous arrow can the user go back to select a new tab.

This can be confusing to keyboard or screen reader users as they may not realize what tab they are on or how to get back to the original tab.

This can be replicated on any page that has more tabs than the page can display, for example Permission Lists, etc.

Replication Steps:

Example shown on the Web Profile page:

  1. Login with "Enable Screen Reader Mode" selected
  2. Navigate to PeopleTools-> Web Profile-> Web Profile Configuration
  3. Select a Web profile
  4. Notice the general tab is selected
  5. Tab to the Next Arrow and press select
  6. Try to select a new tab
  7. For example, Cookie Rules The tab order goes from:
    1. Personalize Page
    2. Previous arrow
    3. View History

The user is unable to select another tab without using the previous tab arrow to return to the currently selected tab.
