E-PORTAL: Copy Folder In Portal Structure Content Wipes Out Navigation Collection Objects (Doc ID 2674739.1)

Symptoms

When using the manual Copy Folder process under Portal Structure and Content to copy a CREF from the EMPLOYEE portal to another portals (CUSTOMER).  When
doing this, the links referencing the CREF did not copy and disappeared from the CUSTOMER portal. The expectation is that the links copy and reference the current
portal.

Doing this also deletes a user's favorite to this CREF.  How can this be changed to copy over related links instead of overwriting them and also not delete user's favorites?

Is there a documented procedure for moving CREFs from Employee into a custom portal while preserving favorites and navigation collections?
