Goal

CA used with a MS SQL Server database, Wizard 'Test Connection' It does not appear to check the Database Server Name correctly.

CA version PT8.57.07, MSSQL2016.

If you define a database, fill out all the details, and press Next in the Wizard it will 'Test Connection' however it is not an exhaustive test. It does not appear to check the Database Server Name (and possibly therefore not
the access ID provided either).

We think that it just uses ODBC to check the database details, however it should really test all the details on the wizard.
