COVID-19: FORM I-9 Additional Information Section Needs to be opened up Due to of COVID-19 Verification I9 Documents

Because of this Pandemic Customers are performing inspections remotely of the I-9 documents (e.g., fax or email, etc.) and Physical Verification of I9 documents must take place, after normal Operations Resume. The date of the physical inspection and who conducted it, should also be recorded in the Additional Information field.

Since the verification was completed initially without physically inspecting the document (remote inspection) the Additional information in the Section 2 is grayed out.



STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:


1. Employee Fills in their I9 information
2  Currently due to COVID 19 HR is verifying the I9 documents online remotely.
3. After Employees go back to work HR Will Need to use the Additional Comments field on the I9 to indicate they have acually seen the document.
