E-AD/E-PC: In the PeopleCode Editor, Double-clicking on a Variable Is Not Selecting the '&' (Doc ID 2678537.1)

Last updated on JUNE 08, 2020

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise PT PeopleTools - Version 8.58 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Issue reported on PT 8.58.03.

In the PeopleCode Editor, double-clicking on a variable is not selecting the '&' as it used to in previous versions of PeopleTools.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. In Application Designer, open an existing PeopleCode.
2. In the PeopleCode Editor, double-click on any variable.
3. Note that the '&' is not selected.
Double-clicking on a variable should select its full name, including the '&' character.

This impacts usability in regards to search and replace functionality. If you had a number of variables in the code, if needed, you could select one of the occurrences and quickly perform 'find and replace'. In PT 8.58, there's the need to select an extra char to avoid replacing text incorrectly.
