EPY: W-4 Dependent Amounts in 2020 Form Version Are Not Printed on the Wage Statements or PDF Advices (Doc ID 2678581.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 21, 2023

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise HCM Payroll for North America - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Why does the wage statement not show the new Dependent Amount field when it is now on the Federal W-4?

This value appears to replace the 'Allowances' and/or other values but is not displayed where Allowances would be displayed.

Tax Data section on the Wage Statements are displaying only the following fields:
Tax Status - Printed for both 2019 and 2020 versions
Allowances - Printed for 2019 version and 'N/A' for 2020 version
Addl. Pct. - Printed for 2019 version and 'N/A' for 2020 version
Addl. Amt/ - Printed for both 2019 and 2020 versions

In W4-2020 version, withholding allowances are not available instead 'Dependent Amounts' field is available. When an EE provides data to the 'Dependent Amounts' field on W4 forms, the same details is not displayed on the Wage Statement. So W4 details in missing on the Wage Statement
