E-ES: Clarification on Remote Search Group With Interaction Hub When Upgrading PeopleTools to 8.58 (Doc ID 2680244.1)

Customer is in the process of upgrading from PeopleTools to 8.58 and their Interaction Hub environment will be upgraded. Previously, customer had remote search groups enabled from IH to the Finance, HR and Student systems. According to the Search Framework documentation, for remote search to function, each PeopleSoft environment must share the same search instance.

Here is the excerpt from the PeopleBooks documentation below:

"Both the local and remote systems need to point to the same search instance. That is, both systems need to have the same search instance defined on the Search Instance Properties page."

However, Peopletools 8.55 and 8.58 don't support the same version of Elastic Search and therefore the use of remote search groups cant occur from Interaction Hub to FSCM, HRMS or Student systems until they are all using the same Elastic Search instance.
