Last updated on DECEMBER 02, 2020

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise PT PeopleTools - Version 8.58 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

In Application Designer, the 'Validate Syntax' button, when clicked, takes the cursor from wherever it is to the top of the PeopleCode Editor.
Clicking on the 'Validate Syntax' button should keep the cursor in the same position as it was. It should not take to the top of the PeopleCode Editor.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Open a PeopleCode.
2. Edit the PeopleCode somewhere in the middle of the code.
3. Click the 'Validate Syntax' button or select Tools > Validate Syntax.
4. The cursor is taken to the top of the PeopleCode Editor.
