Symptoms

After performing an upgrade from PeopleTools 8.56 to 8.57, the following messages occur in the Application Server log:

"PeopleTools release (8.56.10) for web server/ Application Designer '' is not the same as Application Server PeopleTools release (8.57.12). Access denied. "



The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Perform a PeopleTools Upgrade from 8.56 to 8.57.
  2. Deploy the new 8.57 Middle Tier domains using the PeopleTools 8.57.12 DPK.
  3. Leave the Integration Gateway Node version as PeopleTools 8.56.
  4. Error occurs in the Application Server log after the domain creation.
