HR Notepad UI Not Using The Name Search Setup In Configure HR Notepad Only Uses EMPLID For Search (Doc ID 2697473.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 26, 2021

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise HCM Human Resources - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

When changing the configuration for HR Notepad UI to use Name as the search prompt field on PERSON_NAME, instead of the EMPLID,
system is still using EMPLID as the search prompt and displays a warning message when entering name for search.

Warning Message:

'Invalid value - press the prompt button or hyperlink for a list of valid values (15,11)'
'The value entered in the field does not match one of the allowable values. You can see the allowable values by pressing the Prompt or hyperlink.'

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Set Up HCM > Common Definitions > Text Catalog and Notepad > Configure HR Notepad > HR Notepad Configuration
2. Select Configure for ePerformance Management – Sub-Id = M
3. Change PERSON_NAME to Prompt Field = LAST_NAME_SRCH and Key Field Label = Last Name
4. Manager Self Service > Performance Management > Maintain Performance Notes > Performance Notes
5. Search by Last Name - Receive Message
6. Notice System Still Searching by EMPLID
