Symptoms

While adding an asset online using Basic Add with a back-dated transaction date, getting a peoplecode error:

 

Steps to Replicate:

  1. Check GL and AM Open Periods for a Business unit used for test.
  2. Add asset with a profile that has more books than AM Business Unit via Basic Add.
  3. In Asset Acquisition Details tab, change Trans Date to any date in closed period.
  4. Select Capitalize button. Asset Cost and Chartfields are displayed.
  5. Click Save
