Procurement Contract Not Found on Purchase Order or Requisitions if BU Value was Not Filled in Contract Control Section (Doc ID 2714100.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 24, 2020

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise SCM Supplier Contract Management - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When creating a new Procurement Contract and not entering the Contract Control (lets say for Control Type BU) the system throws a "Warning" message.

After the contract is saved, the system does not find the Contract to associate it to a requisition or a PO because the contract control is missing.

The issue can be reproduced with the following steps:

1. Create a new contract and do not enter the Contract Control information.
A Warning message appears, you click OK and the contract can be saved & approved.

2. Choose the same item and supplier in the Requisition page.

3. On the requisition line details page, the newly created contract does not show up.
