Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When modifying the User Description, in a language other than the Base Language, the change is reflected in PSOPRDEFN and PS_ROLEXLATOPR, but not in PS_ROLEXLATOPR_LNG.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
[Using Canadian French for User Language, as an example. Base Language is English].

With the system in Canadian French:

1. Navigate to Utilitaires PeopleTools > Gestionnaire sécurité > Profils utilisateur > Profils utilisateur (PeopleTools > User Profiles > User Profiles).

2. Open the User ID and go to the Code (ID) tab.

3. Modify the User Description under 'Description utilisateur'.

4. Save.

5. Inspect tables PSOPRDEFN, PS_ROLEXLATOPR and PS_ROLEXLATOPR_LNG in the backend.

Update was done, as expected, in PSOPRDEFN and PS_ROLEXLATOPR, but not in PS_ROLEXLATOPR_LNG.
