EEX 9.2: Accessibility Compliance Issues Found at the Travel Authorization Creation Page (Doc ID 2716736.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 04, 2020

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise FIN Expenses - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When signing in to the FSCM Online Application, while having the "Enable Screen Reader" checkbox enabled, and navigating into the Travel Authorization Creation page, Users have noticed the below problems:

     a) The Attachments image link has an adjacent link text with the same name and target, which is redundant

     b) Multiple tables are being used for layout without role = "presentation"

     c) The Delete button for a projected expense row is labelled "DEL" which is not a meaningful button label

     d) Finally, the color is the only means of indicating Error Messages

REPLICATION STEPS:

1.- Log into the FSCM Online Application with "Enable Screen Reader" checkbox enabled

2.- Navigate to: Employee Self Service > Travel and Expenses > Travel Authorization > Create/Modify

3.- Notice that the main page is not Accessibility compliant with the issues mentioned above

Screen Users navigating through the delivered Travel Authorization page will get confused when the program encounters the non-compliances listed. The functionality delivered should be clear, and concise.
