E-PC: SQLExec with a LONG Field Caused an Application Server Crash (Doc ID 2720046.1)

Symptoms

An SQLExec statement queries a long data type across an Oracle DB Link. The query can be run in SQLDeveloper and in sqlplus without any problems.

In 8.58, the SQLExec crashes the app server process running the SQL. In 8.56, this statement executed without problem. 


Steps:
1. Select a DB link with an SQLExec statement.
2. The user is kicked out when submitting a Self Service transaction and the app server crashes.
