E-PORTAL: How to Make Sure Unified Navigation 'My Favorites' And 'Recent Places' Items do not get Confused Between Applications Participating in Single Signon (SSO)? (Doc ID 2725726.1)

Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

After implementing Unified Navigation, when users add pages to their Favorites, that belong in both the portal system and the content provider system, the user gets confused on which application it is for.  For example, the User Profile page (PeopleTools -> Security -> User Profiles -> User Profiles) exists both in the Portal and Content Provider system.  When the user tries to add the User Profile page to "Favorites", or it gets added to "Recent Places", it is added as "User Profile", and the user does not know whether it is for the Portal System or the Content system.  How to fix it?
