Last updated on JULY 21, 2023

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise HCM Human Resources - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

National ID setup format indicates that entering a X or Z will allow the user can enter an alphanumeric or blank value.  The format on the navigation: Set Up HCM > Foundation Tables > Personal > National ID Type > National ID Type allows blank values.  However, blanks are not being accepted. The digits move by 1 space and the user is asked to enter the National ID in the correct format.

Changes

In the setup for the National ID format: Set Up HCM > Foundation Tables > Personal > National ID Type > National ID Type

Indicate the default format for the national ID. Use the following values:
X or Z when the user can enter an alphanumeric or blank value.
A and any lower case letter when the user must enter a letter.
9 when the user must enter a numeric value.
If you leave this field blank, users can enter any value (or no value at all) for this national ID type.
