Absence Management Translations Are Not Consistent in Dutch Language (Doc ID 2736197.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 11, 2020

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise HCM Absence Management - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Absence Management translations are not consistent in dutch language, sometimes 'absence' is translated as 'verlof', sometimes is translated as 'afwezigheid'. These 2 are not the same.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Login in DUTCH (Nederlands)
2. Navigate to : Self Service > Urenregistratie > Uren rapporteren > Verlof aanvragen (Self Service > Time reporting > Report time > Request Absence)
Result: “absence” is translated to “verlof” and sometimes to “afwezigheid”. In English we don’t encounter this problem : “absence” is everywhere “absence”.
3. Tile : SelfService werknemer > Uren (Tile : Employee Self Service > Time)
Please change the word “Verlof” to “Afwezigheid” for all Employee Self Service absence pages.
