E-WF: Non-ASCII Attachment Name in an Email is Changed to an Encoded File Name Such as "=UTF-8****************" (Doc ID 2737247.1)

Symptoms

Sample site is on PeopleTools (PT) 8.58.05. When sending emails with attachments, users observe that a Non-ASCII Attachment name in the Email sent by PeopleSoft is changed to the encoded file name such as "=UTF-8****************.

 

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Send an email from PeopleSoft with an attachment in which the file name uses Chinese characters.

2. View the email in an email client such as Outlook.

3. Observe that the attachment name is changed to "=UTF-8BBMjaAyMOW**********".
