EAP: Unable to Hide Supplier Address Fields in Grid Using Page and Field Configurator for Component Name = VENDOR_LOOKUP (Doc ID 2742482.1)

Symptoms

Page and Field Configurator is configured to hide the Address related fields for the Component Name = VENDOR_LOOKUP (Review Suppliers).

When testing the Review Suppliers page, the Address related fields in the Search criteria are hidden but the Address related fields in the Search Results grid are still displayed.

Next, Page and Field Configurator is configured to modify the Label Text of the Address under the Search Results grid. When testing the Review Suppliers page, the updated Address Label Text displays under the Search Results grid.

Since able to display the modified Label Text of the Address under the Search Results grid, should then be able to hide the Address under the Search Results grid.

STEPS
1. Navigate to Enterprise Components > Page and Field Configuration > Page and Field Configurator
2. Add a New Value for Component Name = VENDOR_LOOKUP, Market = Global, Configuration Type = Standard
3. Select the fields of Address, City, State and Country (All together 8 fields should be selected - 2 of each field)
4. Check the Hide Field box for the 8 fields selected
5. Access the Map to Portal Registry tab
a. Check the Select box for EMPLOYEE Portal
b. Check the “Enable Page Level Events” box
c. Click Apply Configuration
d. Click OK to the message -- Configuration Mapped to Component Events. (18111,25043)
e. Click Save
f. Click the Review/Edit Mapping hyperlink
6. On the Configure Event Mapping page, click the Review Suppliers hyperlink
7. On the the Review Suppliers page, the fields of Address, City, Country and State are hidden in the Search Criteria area
8. Populate the Supplier ID field and click Search
9. Supplier information displays under the Search Results -- However, the fields of Address, City, State and Country are not hidden even though they were configured to be hidden
10. Go back to the Page Configuration page
11. For ADDRESS1, check the Modify Label box for both ADDRESS1 fields
12. Update the Label Text for ADDRESS1 with "Address Test 1" and "Address Test 2", respectively
13. On the Map to Portal Registry page, click Apply Configuration
14. Click OK to the message -- Configuration Mapped to Component Events. (18111,25043)
15. Click Save
16. Click Review/Edit Mapping hyperlink
17. On the Configure Event Mapping page, click the Review Suppliers hyperlink
18. On the the Review Suppliers page, the Address related fields are still hidden in the Search Criteria area
19. After entering in a Supplier ID and clicking Search, the Supplier information displays under the Search Results
20. Notice that the Address label has been modified and displays as “Address Test 2”
