E-COB: "Reserved word missing or incorrectly used" - Compile Error When Using Visual COBOL 6 Compiler (Doc ID 2746789.1)

PeopleSoft Enterprise PT PeopleTools - Version 8.57 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Applies To: Visual COBOL version 6 compiler products on Windows and UNIX/Linux platforms. Tools minimum patch levels 8.57.05+ and 8.58  (8.58.03 - on premises base patch) and higher.
This is not an issue with Visual COBOL version 4.

Sample Environment:

PeopleTools 8.58.07
HCM 9.2 Upgrade Test environment
Compiler : Visual COBOL Build Tools version 6 for Windows

Issue:
-------
When compiling COBOL programs for HCM 9.2 using Visual COBOL version 6 compiler products, there are several COBOL programs that fail to compile. The compile is carried out using the PeopleSoft delivered compiler scripts. 

List of files that fail to compile:

Compile error for PAPCRCTL.obj
Compile error for PAPCRDUR.obj
Compile error for PAPPCHRS.obj
Compile error for PAPPRCTL.obj
Compile error for PAPUAFMN.obj
Compile error for PAPXCHRS.obj
