Last updated on FEBRUARY 02, 2021

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise PT PeopleTools - Version 8.57 to 8.58 [Release 8.4]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

The Psuser64.dll is not working as intended. Even though the psuser.cpp is passing the password, it still prompts for the password. The same code was previously opening App Designer without prompting for the password.

Steps to replicate:

  1. Implement code for psuser.cpp
  2. Compile PSUSER.C and create PSUSER.DLL.
  3. Distribute PSUSER.DLL
  4. The User still receives dialog box prompt for the password
