Posting Deposit Item Type Results in Warning Error '14816, 236 - Acad Program was not found for Deposit.' (Doc ID 2749402.1)

Using Student Post or Group Post to post a deposit item type results in a warning error message. The impacted students appear to have changed academic programs on the application from the time the deposit is calculated until the payment for the deposit arrives. Students in this situation have the deposit fee posted to their account but are not changed to Matriculated status. The change to Matriculated is standard processing when a deposit is received for an academic program.

14816, 236 - Acad Program was not found for Deposit.
While trying to process a deposit for updates.... and reading the adm_appl_prog table, no programs were found. For this emplid, adm_appl_nbr and acad_prog.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Student Financials, Charges and Payments, Group Processing, External Files;
  2. Select a run control;
  3. Populate the run control using the external file layout and file name containing the deposits;
  4. Submit the process to the process scheduler;
  5. Navigate to Student Financials, Charges and Payments, Group Processing, Post Transactions;
  6. Select a run control;
  7. Populate the run control with the group id created by Steps 3-4.
