(Doc ID 2759138.1)
Last updated on JANUARY 25, 2024
Applies to:
PeopleSoft Enterprise CS Financial Aid - Version 9 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Goal
The Department of Education published an announcement (linked below) that, effective with the 2021-2022 Award Year, institutions no longer need to ensure students have completed their ASLA/Informed Borrower information prior to allowing disbursement of Direct Loans.
Normally, when the Informed Borrower information has not been completed, two behaviors may be observed:
- The Generate Direct Loan Data (DLOUT) process fails validation for the loan with edit DLOVL062, "Informed Borrower process not completed"
- The item type will fail to authorize.
How can this functionality be disabled for aid year 2022, or will new code need to be delivered?
