Self Service Accept/Decline Submit Error 'Negative number assigned to an unsigned field' (Doc ID 2761832.1)

When using accept/decline awards in self service, the following error occurs as seen on the page after clicking the 'submit' then 'yes' button to submit the changes made. 

The issue may likely only occur with one student, or a small number. The issue has been confirmed specifically to occur on the Classic version of the page, but would likely occur the same on the FLUID version also. 

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. As the student, navigate to the Classic version of accept/decline (page definition SS_FA_AWD_ACK) , which is typically loaded under Main Menu > Self Service > Student Center, Accept/Decline Awards link. 
  2. Click aid year. 
  3. Accept, decline, or reduce one or more available item types. 
  4. Click 'Submit' button.
  5. Click 'Yes' button.
