E-PUM: The LASTUPDDTM Field in PSMENUDEFN is Updated for Menus that do not Exist in the Update Project During Patching (Doc ID 2763848.1)

Last updated on APRIL 15, 2021

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise PT PeopleTools - Version 8.53 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When applying PUM updates, delivered and custom menus not included in the managed objects project get updated and the LASTUPDDTTM is updated with the date of the change.

For example one customer had the following customized menus.

Prior to applying the update, customizations to the menus were made by user pst.  The LASTUPOPRID for both menus were stamped with pst.  The customer's auditors discovered that the custom menus had recently been updated.  Using Application Designer, you could see that the customized menus had been updated as well, but there was no trail as to what occurred.  Querying PSMENUDEFN for LASTUPDDTM and LASTUPOPRID returned the below rows.

What changed the menus?
