Symptoms

After making a change using the Page and Field Configurator and applying the configuration on the Map to Portal Registry tab the following error message is received:

First operand of . is NULL, so cannot access member CompEvent (180, 236) EOCC_COMP_CONFIG.EventMapping.ServiceHandler.OnExecute

The first operand of the dot operator is the NULL value, indicating the lack of any object value. As a consequence, the given method or property cannot be used.

Steps to replicate:

  1. Navigate to Enterprise Components-> Page and Field Configuration-> Page and Field Configurator
  2. Open a component
  3. Select Map to Portal Registry tab
  4. Apply Configuration
  5. Error message received
