E-COMP: Blank (Gray) Pages are Generated When Viewing Compare Report in Application Designer with Custom Filtering

Symptoms
On : Compare Reports, Application Designer
When viewing the compare report in Application Designer with filtering involved, gray (blank) pages appear. The reports look fine when there is no custom filtering.
This happens when there is a huge number of items in a project compared. In the customer's case, there are more than 83,000 fields in the project.

STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Perform a PeopleTools Upgrade to PT 8.58.08.
2. Run a project compare report in Application Designer. To do this, go to Tools > Compare and Report > From File.
3. After running the compare, click on View > Custom Filtering.
4. Review the pages. Notice that there are blank (gray) pages on the report.
Changes
A PeopleTools Upgrade from PT 8.49 to PT 8.58 has been performed.
