E-TR: Tree Export Process Is Erroring Out With "Could not open file $PS_TREEBASEDIR/<USER_ID/<tree_flat_file_name>.dat. (125,31)". (Doc ID 2782885.1)

Symptoms

Tree Export process doe no longer working after upgrading to PeopleTools version 8.58. The following error occur in log files either in the "AE_TREEMOVER_<process_instance>.stdout" or  "TreeMover-<datetime_of_run>.log".

"Could not open file $PS_TREEBASEDIR/<USER_ID/<tree_flat_file_name>.dat. (125,31)"


where the USER_ID is the OPRID used to run the Export process online.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Login To PIA.
2. Navigate to Tree Manager > Tree Utilities > Tree Export.
3. Create a new Run Cntrl Id or use an existing one.
4. Fill the Tree Definition details (e.g. Tree name, Effective Date, SetId).
5. Hit Run button.
6. Once the Run ends, select Details link from Process Monitor page.
7. Select View Log/Trace link in the Process Detail page.
8. Notice the error in the log files mentioned above.

Changes

PS_TREEBASEDIR is a new Environment Variable introduced specifically for Tree Import and Export.
 
As per the new implementation, Tree Import and Export will happen in relative sub directories created per user. It will not allow neither full path or UNC path. It will not allow directory backtracking.
