Next Pay End Date Setting for Age As Of Date on the Calculation Rules Table Changes Employee's Age for Determining Benefit Rate in Wrong Pay Period (Doc ID 2784437.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 06, 2021

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise HCM Human Resources - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

The Next Pay End Date setting for Age As Of on the Calculation Rules Table was designed for US FEDERAL ONLY. With this setting, if the employee's birth date falls within the current pay period, the system should use the age before the birth date to get the benefit rate for the current pay period, not using the new age until the next pay period. Instead, if the employee's birth date falls within the next pay period, the system is using the age after the birth date to get the benefit rate for the current pay period.

Steps to reproduce the issue:

     1. Calculate payroll for an employee attaining the minimum age for a new age-band in the next pay period (Navigation: Payroll for North America > Payroll Processing USA > Produce Payroll > Calculate Payroll).
