Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise HCM Time and Labor - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

HCM PUM 36; Tools 8.57.14
End users encounter Accessibility: Report Time Issues with Comments using NVDA (NonVisual Desktop Access version 2020.4).

Issue 1
After hitting OK button, Comments dialog box remains open and focus goes to Add Comment button.
This is fine for a user where they can visually see that multiple comments are getting entered and box has remained open. However, after getting a message that "comments has been submitted successfully" it is very confusing for a screen reader user to know that the focus has again gone to the comments dialog box and it has remained open. Please add more suggestive message like -
"comment 1 has been submitted successfully. Click OK to return to the Comments dialog box to enter additional comments."

Issue 2
OK button on "Comments entered has been submitted successfully" message box does not always have focus (this happens intermittently in Chrome browser. Couldn't replicate consistently. Please see the screen shot).

Issue 3

User is unable to close the comments dialog box with keyboard. To replicate, find a reported time where there are already existing comments. Hit Enter key on "comments section" to open the comments dialog box. Focus will go to "Add a new comment" area. Hit tab key to go to "Add Comment" button and then hit tab key to go to "Clear" button and then hit tab key to go to "X" close button and then hit enter key to close the dialog box. Dialog box does not close. It remains open. Only way to close is by mouse click. This can be replicated even in non-screen reader mode.

Steps to Recreate:
1. Log in as RCHANNING/RCHANNING in Screen Reader Mode
2. Go to the Navbar and Select "Time" shortcut
3. Select "Report Time" menu
4. Select the date "04/27/2021".
5. (Optional) Enter any Reporting Code, Quantity and task group etc.
6. Hit Enter on comments to add a comment. Enter new comment "Testing" and click on Add Comment
7. "Comments entered has been submitted successfully" message box displays with OK button.
