Last updated on AUGUST 10, 2021

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise HCM eProfile - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

HCM Person Profile required fields are no longer editable after saving without populating them.

This happens on any classic field modified by AddFFClass or RemoveFFClass.
The ErrorDisplay property is used for Tools 8.58 and above and this property is for 8.58 and above only.  Anything below 8.58 uses the ReplaceFFClass.

When saving the Person Profile Degrees page without populating all required fields, they become un-editable, however the change cannot be saved because of the following Error Message:

Steps to reproduce the issue:
1. Make the Year Acquired field required
Navigate to Setup HCM > Product Related > Profile Management > Profiles > Profile TypesPerson > Content tab > Education > Degrees: Make JPM_INTEGER_2 Required
2. Navigate to Workforce Development > Profile Management > Profiles > Person ProfilesEducation tab > Add new Degree
Populate Degree, but don’t populate Year Acquired (JPM_INTEGER_2)

Issue is happening after applying PeopleTools 8.58 on any classic field modified by AddFFClass or RemoveFFClass.
