E-TR: SETID Field On PSTREEDEFN Page Unnecessarily Masked After Upgrade to PT 8.59 (Doc ID 2801127.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 22, 2021

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise PT PeopleTools - Version 8.59 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Tree Definition "SetID" field is masked like a password so cannot be seen
from the Tree Definition link in Tree Manager. This was not the case in
PeopleTools 8.58 and is masked after upgrading to PeopleTools 8.59. This
appears to be unnecessary and causes confusion since the same SETID value is
easily seen from the Tree Manager search page when searching for the same
Tree.

The issue can be reproduced with the following steps:
1. PeopleTools 8.59 Navigate to: Tree Manager > Tree Manager
2. Search for and open a Tree
3. Click on the link for "Tree Definition"
4. Observe Trees with "SetID" field that the related SETID value is masked like a password
