Applying Fix for Bug 32997796 Delivers COM.PEOPLESOFT.EO.EOEC.JAR' Delivers a Jar File With Incorrect Case for Linux Customers (Doc ID 2801216.1)

Symptoms

A change package containing the fix delivered in Campus Solutions 9.2 PUM 22 for Bug 32997796 - UPGRADE JAVA 11 IN EC(ENTERPRISE COMPONENT) AND ITS IMPACT IN CS is applied to a target Campus Solutions environment.

Delivered in the change package is COM.PEOPLESOFT.EO.EOEC.JAR. On a Windows platform, this file replaces com.peoplesoft.eo.eoec.jar: On a linux system with case-sensitive file names, the new file (all in upper case letters) does not replace the old file (all lowercase).  Linux customers will continue to execute the previous version of the jar file.

The upper case jar files deploys successfully.  Linux customers may not be aware of the new upper case file names.

Customers running Windows operating systems will not be impacted.  Windows accommodates file names in upper or lower case.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Prepare a change package of all fixes delivered in Campus Solutions 9.2 PUM 22;
  2. Apply the change package to a target test environment that is running linux;
