EEX9.2:Chartfield Combination Editing Functionality is Not Kicked Off in Cash Advance (Doc ID 2803168.1)

Last updated on JUNE 17, 2022

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise FIN Expenses - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

With the new functionality of the accounting details being able to be edited in the cash advance, the combo edits are not being checked when saving or when certifying the cash advance.
Due to this issue, users were able to submit the Cash Advance for approval without changing any of the chartfields.
Without having the combo edit functionality working correctly in these transactions, users can enter chartfields that will cause issues/errors downstream in GL.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Setup Combo rule by validating installation options for Expenses that Combo Edit is selected
2. Create Cash Advance with the new functionality of being able to edit chartfields
3. Clicked “Save For Later” with no combo edit error appearing.
