ABMGT : Error "Field Is Required: GP_ABS_EA_STA-MANAGER_APPR_IND (124,64)" while Approving the Extended Absence Request (Doc ID 2803406.1)

Symptoms

The following error message pops-up while approving the Extended Absence Request:

Field is required: GP_ABS_EA_STA - MANAGER_APPR_IND (124,64)


The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Login as an Employee and submit an Extended Absence Request
Navigate to Home-> Employee Self Service->Time -> Extended Absence Request
Submit a new request
Select Absence Request and click on Launch.
Enter details and Submit the request.
Click Next.
Click Submit. The request is submitted.

2. Login as Manager/Administrator.
Navigate to Home->Workforce Administrator->Absence Administration
Click on Extended Absence. then select Administer Extended Absence.
3. Click on ‘Edit’.
4. Click on FMLA Eligibility (Administrator) Hyperlink and enter the details.
5. Click on validate Section. Once validation is complete, it shows below message.
  "The FMLA Medical Certification validation completed successfully. (0,0)"
Click OK. It throws some error as shown below:
  "No FMLA entitlement data found for Plan ID FM01. Please contact the FMLA Administrator.
  The PeopleCode program executed an Error statement, which has produced this message."
Click on OK. Now, click on Return to Extended Absence Request Hyperlink. Since we got error above, validation did not happen successfully. Click ‘No’.
The below message pops-up: Field is required: "GP_ABS_EA_STA - MANAGER_APPR_IND (124,64)"
6: Click OK. It brings us back to the previous page.
Scroll down and click on Save for later.
Same message occurs: ""GP_ABS_EA_STA - MANAGER_APPR_IND (124,64)""
