Accessibility: Screen Reader Usability Issues With Need Summary Page and Award Details Link on Summary Page in FLUID Self Service (Doc ID 2803791.1)

Symptoms

On the Award Details and Need Summary pages in FLUID Financial Aid Self Service, the sections of the page appear visually as tabs. However, programmatically, the tabs are actually radio buttons, which creates two specific issues:

Note the issue with Need Summary pertains to the MFF+ page version only.

The issue(s) can be reproduced with the following steps:

  1. Check Enable Screen Reader Mode box on the login page prior to login. 
  2. Once logged in, Navigate to Student Homepage > Financial Aid > Summary and click 'Details' link on any row.
  3. Observe the information presented in the screen reader.
  4. Navigate to Student Homepage > Financial Aid > Financial Aid Summary > Need Summary.
  5. Observe the information presented in the screen reader.
