E-PORTAL: When Changing the Fluid Banner Stylesheet Color it does not Carry Over From Fluid Homepages to Classic Pages (Doc ID 2803985.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 02, 2021

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise PT PeopleTools - Version 8.58 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

After applying PT 8.58 the role based branding is not applied to classic component components on initial page load.

If the user navigates to another page within the component using the tab navigation the branding color then gets applied.  The behavior is consistent across classic components but very confusing to end users.

Steps to replicate the issue:

Login to PeopleSoft and navigate to PeopleTools > Portal > Branding System Options

Assign Branding Themes and set color options.

Save and test.

The display on search of any classic component (showing /psp/).  The header is omitted on the next requests so that it is easier to see that the skin stylesheet is missing from the portal content.

Initial page display after search (showing /psc/ for clarity).  The Portal header branding is working as expected. After switching tabs.  Notice the new skin is now loading correctly.
