ERS9.2: Multi Phrase Search Exact Match- Not Working when Using Boolean Operators Like "BUSINESS MANAGER" or "SYSTEM ANALYST" (Doc ID 2804298.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 29, 2021

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise FIN Resource Management - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

The capability to do multi-phrase using boolean operators, e.g. "BUSINESS MANAGER" OR "SYSTEM ANALYST", was not enabled in 9.2 version.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Setup environment to be able to upload resume
  2. Populate properly Work Experience details
  3. Upload Resumes containing words as: Project Management, Financial Planning, Project Management (phrases having for instance at least 2 words) so that we can check for combinations as below:

    "Project Management" and "Financial Planning"

"Project Management" or "Financial Planning", as the search would be available for both attachments and profile.

If we give anything within "", then the search would be expecting the same words in the resume/profile.
