Goal

Accounting date modification in Payroll journals

Our Finance team is looking for change in accounting date for Payroll journals. As per the delivered design, the Payroll journals accounting date is check date/pay date but the Finance team is requesting to change the accounting date to pay period end date because technically as of that date expense accounts get debited.

Please let us know if this change to accounting date is recommended as per the Peoplesoft design to fulfill the request from Finance? If not, what is the recommended solution otherwise?
