EMM: Why Is the Weekly PM (Preventive Maintenance) Schedule Skipping a Week Under this Specific Scenario? (Doc ID 2806721.1)

Symptoms

 Weekly PM (Preventive Maintenance) schedule skips a week depending on the Basis Date and when the PM job is run.

Scenario:
A PM schedule is created with a basis date of 7/20/2021. The day that the PM schedule is created is 7/28, which means that the Work Order is overdue.
Schedule type is Weekly by day. The day is Tuesday.

WM_PM is run, a work order gets created.
The work order has a due date of 7/28/2021.

 

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Create a weekly PM (Preventive Maintenance) schedule.
2. Run WMPM job.
3. Review report WM20001.  Work Order is created.
4. Run WMPM job again with no changes to the PM schedule.
5. Review report WM20001.  No new WO is created.
