Journal is created for USD lines. When lines are changed to JPY currency, the page displays the correct Foreign Amount (Debit Amounts and Credit Amounts) with 0 decimal.
However, checking backend at PS_JRNL_LN.FOREIGN_AMOUNT, JPY currency still has 2 decimals. This only happens when 'Separate DR/CR Amount Fields’ checkbox is selected in Ledgers for a Unit.
When unchecked, amounts are updated as expected.
Steps to replicate:
1. In Ledgers for a Unit, select ‘Separate DR/CR Amount Fields’ checkbox.
2. Create a journal in USD and amount with 2 decimal places (ex: 200.56), then save.
3. Change the last 2 highlighted rows currency from USD to JPY. Note that for each change, gets the warning message such as shown.
Click OK on both, and hit Save.
- Notice that at save, JPY currency changed from 2 to 0 decimal place (ex: 255.95 to 256) for the Debit Amount and Credit Amount fields.
However, backend, the Foreign Amount Field values were still showing the 2 decimals for JPY.
See replication here.
