SFP: SAFI Produces Missing Tag For Course Last Date Of Attendance (Doc ID 2812574.1)

Symptoms

SAFI Validation Error: Student’s SAFI is not being passed to SFP because the Last Date of Attendance for a historical course is missing a tag.  This is causing the record to build with a missing opening tag and date.  The record only contains the ending tag <LastDateOfAttendance/>. 

This issue can occur when a withdrawal from a course is processed after the term-end date:

After the withdrawal is processed by the system,  and when the SAFI is run/built, it is erroring out before being loaded to SFP with the following:

Validation errors:

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Campus Community, Student Fin Planning Interface, Process SFP Messages
  2. Select a run control
  3. Populate the run control with Message Class 'Student Academic and Fin Info' and provide an appropriate query name
  4. Submit the process (SCC_VOC_INTF) to the process scheduler
  5. When the process has completed, navigate to Campus Community, Student Fin Planning Interface, SFP Message Log
  6. Select the EMPLID that was withdrawn from the class
  7. Click the Message Data Link for message class 'Student Academic and Fin Info' to view the output.
